The newly formed Livingston High School Chess Team, who have begun their inaugural year with a more than a running start.
The 9th grade team placed 5th in the National K-12 Grade Chess Championship in Maryland a couple of weeks ago, and won 1st place in the NJ Grade School Chess Championship in November!
Aston Roberts, who moved to Livingston from New York City a year and a half ago, is a member, and joined his school mates last year to successfully lobby the school board to support chess in the school district and develop a team on the high school level!
